Job summary
Health 7 Careers seeks a Consultant / Specialist Gastroenterologist in Dubai to join a multispecialty hospital renowned for advanced gastroenterology and endoscopy services. You will diagnose and treat digestive diseases, perform endoscopic procedures, and collaborate with hepatologists, surgeons, radiologists, and nutrition specialists to deliver integrated care.
The role requires a minimum of 3+ years post-specialist experience, board certification, and licensing eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH.
Qualifications
- Recognised gastroenterology specialist qualifications from DOH/DHA/MOH licensing eligible pathways.
- Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification.
- Endoscopy and diagnostic procedure experience; ultrasound/ERCP experience preferred.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and lead patient care plans.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders including reflux, ulcers, IBS, IBD and infections.
- Evaluate and treat liver-related conditions such as hepatitis, fatty liver and cirrhosis.
- Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (EGD and colonoscopy).
- Manage GI bleeding and complex digestive disorders with multidisciplinary input.
- Provide patient education on diet, lifestyle, and preventive digestive health care.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and participate in audits and CME.
