Job summary

Washmen requires a Quality Controller to ensure garments and linen meet quality standards before delivery. You will inspect items after washing, pressing, and finishing, identify defects, and maintain quality records.

You will coordinate with production teams, verify customer instructions, and ensure correct packing, tagging, and safe handling of delicate items in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial laundry or garment care operations preferred.
• Good knowledge of fabrics, stain identification, and garment finishing.
• Attention to detail and strong inspection skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to handle customer garments with care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Inspect garments and linen after washing, pressing, and finishing processes.
• Check for stains, damages, missing items, improper finishing, or quality defects.
• Ensure garments are packed and tagged correctly before dispatch.
• Verify that customer instructions and care labels are followed properly.
• Coordinate with spotting, washing, pressing, and packing teams to correct quality issues.
• Maintain daily quality control reports and records.
• Ensure proper handling of delicate and high-value items.
• Monitor compliance with company quality standards and SOPs.
• Report recurring quality issues to supervisors and recommend improvements.
• Ensure work area cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
