Job summary

PORT SAEED TRANSPORT & BUILDING CONTRACTING CO L.L in Dubai seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a heavy vehicle workshop. You will lead mechanics and technicians, ensuring maintenance and repairs are performed efficiently and on schedule.

The role involves developing preventive maintenance programs, managing spare parts inventory, and supervising daily workloads while upholding safety and proper work procedures. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in heavy vehicle/garage workshop operations.
• Ability to supervise and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians.
• Strong focus on safety, procedures, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the heavy vehicle workshop ensuring all maintenance and repair schedules are met efficiently
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians providing technical guidance and performance feedback
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of heavy vehicle fleets
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies optimizing stock levels and controlling costs
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure vehicles are repaired properly and ready for operation on time
• Maintain garage discipline, safety and proper work procedures
• Previous experience in a heavy vehicle garage/workshop is required
• Immediate joiners preferred

• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, brakes, suspension, transmission and general vehicle troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and coordinate necessary repairs
• Supervise mechanics and technicians and distribute daily work
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure vehicles are repaired properly and ready for operation on time
• Monitor spare parts and maintenance requirements
• Maintain garage discipline, safety and proper work procedures
• Previous experience in a heavy vehicle garage/workshop is required
• Immediate joiners preferred
