Job Description:
We are currently conducting a search for a Senior Associate (or potentially strong mid-level) Funds Lawyer for a top-tier international law firm in their Dubai office.
The practice’s range of work is very diverse from fund establishment as well as investments into funds (including Shari’a-compliant structures).
Their team advises sponsors and institutional investors – including private equity houses, sovereign wealth funds (SWFs), financial institutions and corporate clients – on fund establishment and related issues.
They are willing to relocate for the right candidate and are seeking magic circle or white shoe training only with top academics.
Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of the ins and outs of limited partnership agreements;
- Good market knowledge of negotiating points on fund investments
- Experience in establishing funds in ADGM, DIFC, Luxembourg, Guernsey and Cayman Islands.
- Experience in hedge funds and M&A is useful but looking for in-depth knowledge of private funds and negotiations with investors.
- Needs to be comfortable with Funds docs and dealing with new jurisdictions.
