Job summary

Transguard Workforce Solutions in the UAE is recruiting a Fuel Farm Maintenance Operator for our client in Dubai to ensure safe, reliable jet fuel supply by operating, inspecting and maintaining airport fuel farms and hydrant systems.

You will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, storage tanks and pipelines, adhere to HSSE standards and work with operations and contractors. The role requires PLC/SCADA exposure, drawing interpretation and risk assessment participation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with relevant aviation experience preferred.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and understanding fuel terminal systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work in HSSE-compliant, safety-focused environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform fuel sampling, testing, tank gauging and density checks with accurate records.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, tanks, pipelines and hydrant systems.
• Inspect and calibrate fuel system equipment including filters and separators.
• Maintain motors, gensets, UPS and power distribution equipment.
• Assist PLC/SCADA troubleshooting for fuel transfer and hydrant operations.
• Ensure HSSE compliance and participate in risk assessments and drills.
• Coordinate activities with operations teams and contractors.

We are currently recruiting for an Fuel Farm Maintenance operator for our client to be based out of their Dubai office.

About the role

The Fuel Farm Maintenance Operator ensures safe, reliable and uninterrupted supply of Jet A1 fuel to aircraft by operating, inspecting, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting airport fuel farm and hydrant systems. The role combines preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment while adhering to aviation safety, quality and HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fuel sampling, testing, tank gauging and density checks, and maintain accurate operational records.
• Execute preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on fuel transfer pumps, storage tanks, pipelines, hydrant pits, valves and pressure control systems.
• Inspect, clean, flush and calibrate fuel system equipment, including filters, water separators and strainers.
• Maintain motors, generators, UPS systems, battery banks and power distribution equipment.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems used for fuel transfer and hydrant operations.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE requirements, Permit-to-Work procedures and industry standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, safety inspections, emergency response drills and coordinate activities with operations, HSSE teams and contractors.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience for degree holders or 5 years for diploma holders.
• Experience in aviation fuel terminals, depots or airport fuel farms.Knowledge of pumps, pipelines, valves, storage tanks and hydrant systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
