As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
  • Greet guests over the phone and assist with inquiries related to hotel services, reservations, and amenities.
  • Connect calls to the appropriate department or personnel efficiently.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and messages with courtesy and in a timely manner.
  • Take and deliver accurate messages to guests and staff.
  • Provide guests with relevant information about the hotel, local area, and services.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and updates in the system as required.
  • Monitor and maintain the hotel’s phone system and report any issues to the appropriate team.
  • Maintain a polite, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Ensure that all communications are recorded and updated as necessary.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as needed.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or telephone operator role (preferably in the hospitality industry).
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a clear and friendly phone demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, with knowledge of hotel management systems (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Fluency in English & Arabic are required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred).
