PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure the staff’s knowledge of hotel features, services, hours of operation, room rates, special packages, and promotions.
  2. Handle check-outs for FIT guests and groups smoothly according to standard procedures.
  3. Maintain staff punctuality and document attendance records.
  4. Maintain all equipment at the Front Desk and ensure supplies are adequate for operations.
  5. Complete requisitions to replenish supplies needed for high-volume periods.
  6. Prepare bi-weekly schedules based on business levels.
  7. Ensure staff report on time and record absences or calls.
  8. Inspect grooming and attire of staff regularly and rectify deficiencies to meet Dusit International standards.
  9. Maintain a healthy working environment and good relationships within the department.
  10. Pre-assign rooms in the computer system and follow through on specific requirements.
  11. Prepare for guest arrivals, including packages and registration cards.
  12. Handle guest complaints according to pacification procedures to ensure satisfaction.
  13. Monitor room status, report unclean or out-of-service rooms to Housekeeping, and resolve discrepancies.
  14. Review unfinished assignments and coordinate follow-up actions.
  15. Monitor cashiering procedures including adjustments, paid outs, corrections, and charges.
  16. Handle foreign currency exchange and posting of charges, including split and transfer charges.
  17. Settle guest accounts and close cashier sessions, balancing summaries and completing remittance envelopes.
  18. Ensure telephones are answered within 3 rings with proper etiquette.
  19. Maintain high standards of personnel appearance and hygiene.
  20. Oversee Express check-in/check-out processes to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  21. Handle late check-out requests according to hotel policies.
  22. Manage Group check-ins and check-outs according to procedures.
  23. Resolve and document all traces and discrepancies.
  24. Monitor the house bank and ensure all banks are intact.
  25. Check the safety deposit box procedures, inventory keys, and record keeping.

  1. Engage in continuous learning through personal IDP.
  2. Perform any other duties assigned by superiors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or relevant field.
  • At least 2 years experience in Front Office or Guest Service in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of yield management and cost controls.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Pleasant personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
