Key Responsibilities of a Duty Manager:

  • Ensure all guests are treated efficiently and courteously, applying Radisson Blu standards.
  • Train and coach new employees.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all Front Office quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with accounting to manage and minimize account receivables.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to enhance communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining optimal room inventory levels to maximize revenue and meet guest expectations.
  • Supervise activities of the concierge, telecommunications, and front desk divisions; maximize the use of Hotelkit.
  • Manage Radisson Rewards membership program, ensuring members are recognized per standards.
  • Drive Brand programs with ongoing training and initiatives within the Front Office.
  • Develop plans to achieve targets for Brand programs like Club Carlson, Upselling, Review Pro, and Express Awards; monitor budgets, labor costs, and expenses.
  • Lead the Front Desk Up-selling Program.
  • Foster cooperation and trust among colleagues, supervisors, and across departments.
  • Develop staff through training, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure teams embody Radisson Blu Brand initiatives and commitments.
  • Coordinate with AFOM on staffing and performance to maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Maximize room occupancy using up-selling techniques.
  • Maintain good communication with all hotel departments.
  • Participate in team-building activities.
  • Contribute to new initiatives to enhance guest experience.
  • Work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager to ensure smooth departmental operations.

Requirements of a Duty Manager:

  • At least 1 year of Front Desk experience in a similar role.
  • Preferably female, Arabic speaker an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt to changing service environments.
