Job description

The front desk will continue to handle check-ins, payments and queue management. This person's job is to have real conversations with guests on the floor and at the exit, understand what they came for, and convert them into higher-value customers.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact many families have with the Orange Wheels brand, so warmth and credibility matter as much as sales ability. We are looking for someone guests are glad to talk to, not someone they try to avoid.

Key responsibilities
  • Proactively approach guests during their visit to introduce [memberships, packages, party bookings and add-on services]
  • Convert walk-in visitors into [members / repeat customers / party bookings], working to a monthly target
  • Handle party and group booking enquiries end to end: initial conversation, quote, follow-up, confirmation and handover to operations
  • Capture guest contact details and log every lead and outcome in [POS / CRM system]
  • Follow up on open leads by phone, WhatsApp and email within agreed timeframes
  • Manage renewals and reactivation of lapsed [members / customers]
  • Support the front desk during peak surges - this role is customer-facing first, but everyone helps when the queue builds
  • Feed back to management on which offers land, which objections recur, and what guests ask for that we don't currently sell
  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly reporting on approaches, conversions and revenue generated
What success looks like

By day 30: fluent in the full product and pricing range, comfortable approaching guests unprompted, first sales closed.

By day 90: consistently hitting an agreed monthly target for [membership sales / party bookings], with a clean lead log and a measurable lift in average spend per visit.

Performance will be measured on a small number of clear metrics: guests approached, conversion rate, revenue generated, and [renewal / retention rate].

  • 1-3 years selling face to face to walk-in customers, against a monthly target.
  • A track record they can quantify - will see your conversion numbers and target attainment
  • Confident initiating conversations with strangers, including families with young children
  • Comfortable working in a loud, busy, frequently interrupted environment
  • Basic systems literacy: POS, CRM or booking software, spreadsheets
Essential attributes
  • Warm first, persuasive second. Guests are repeat customers and word of mouth drives our business; high-pressure tactics are not acceptable here.
  • Self-starting. Nobody will tell them which guest to approach. They need to work the floor without being managed minute to minute.
  • Resilient. They will be turned down many times a day and still need energy in hour six of a Saturday shift.
  • Coachable. Willing to follow an agreed offer structure and adapt it based on feedback.
  • Genuinely comfortable around children and families.
  • Experience in a leisure, entertainment or hospitality venue
  • Additional languages spoken by our guest base: (Arabic & English)
  • Experience selling event or party packages
