Job summary

Marriott International is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor at our Dubai property to balance and drop receipts, verify guest identities, assign rooms, and issue room keys. You will ensure accurate guest accounts, input Marriott Rewards data, and secure payment prior to key issuance while keeping reports and logs up to date.

You will welcome guests, anticipate service needs, train and coach team members, follow safety procedures, protect assets and confidential information, and maintain

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Balance and drop receipts; count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift; obtain manual authorizations and follow all accounting procedures.
  • Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
  • Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Develop/maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications; ensure personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak clearly and professionally; prepare and review written documents; answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards; perform other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors.

Overview

Process all guest check-ins, verify guest identity and form of payment, assign rooms, and issue room keys. Set up accurate guest accounts, enter Marriott Rewards information, ensure rates match market codes, document exceptions, and secure payment prior to issuing room keys. Compile and review daily reports/logs/contingency lists; complete cashier and closing reports. Provide guests with directions and property information; accommodate guest requests and follow up to ensure requests are met. Enter and locate information using computers/POS systems. Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
