Job Description

As a Freight Manager, you will optimize the selection process of shipping lanes/liners, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards. You shall collaborate with the sales team and customers to enhance profitability and ensure customer satisfaction through attention to detail and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the product from port to port
• Secure competitive rates with shipping companies and freight forwarders, ensuring timely deliveries
• Coordinate export and import shipments, prepare necessary documentation, and ensure timely submission to Finance/Logistics Manager
• Track costs for inbound shipments, update records for final billing, and close job files for Finance
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including safety for import/export operations
• Communicate dispatch details to customers, including airway bill numbers and estimated dates of arrival
• Coordinate internally with various teams to implement solutions to customer complaints
• Monitor transport costs, delivery timelines, and performance metrics
• Assist with Purchase Order entry and support invoicing processes as required
• Any other additional tasks from time to time

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (preferred but not mandatory)
• 8-10 years of experience in distribution and logistics
• Strong knowledge of local and international shipping lines and freight forwarders
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in data entry, organization, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with logistics software (ERP)
