Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their logistics needs and offer tailored freight solutions.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
Prepare detailed quotes and proposals for clients, ensuring competitive pricing and clear service descriptions.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of shipments from origin to destination.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients and carriers to maximize profitability and service quality.
Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and manage client communications effectively.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Participate in trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to promote the company's services.
Analyze sales metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement in sales strategies.
Stay compliant with legal regulations and company policies to ensure safe and efficient freight operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred to understand the complexities of the freight industry.
A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales, demonstrating a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
Certifications in logistics or supply chain management, such as IATA, FIATA, or similar, are highly desirable to enhance credibility.
Experience in international shipping and customs regulations is essential to navigate the complexities of freight forwarding.
Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional language skills, such as Spanish or Mandarin, being a significant advantage.
Strong technical skills in using freight management software and CRM tools to streamline sales processes and client management.
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills to effectively engage clients and close deals.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail to manage multiple accounts and shipments simultaneously.
Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset to achieve sales goals consistently.
