  • Conduct daily hygiene inspections in kitchens, food storage, and preparation areas
  • Monitor personal hygiene of kitchen and stewarding staff
  • Check and record food storage temperatures and hygiene logs
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of food items
  • Verify cleanliness and sanitization of kitchen equipment and surfaces
  • Ensure pest control schedules are followed and documented
  • Support the implementation of HACCP procedures and hygiene standards
  • Assist in staff training on hygiene and food safety practices
  • Conduct swab tests or coordinate with external labs if needed
  • Monitor chemical usage and ensure proper storage
  • Report any hygiene issues or non-compliance to the Hygiene Manager
  • Maintain hygiene-related documentation and checklists
  • Assist during internal and external hygiene audits or inspections

  • Experience in hotel or food service industry (1–3 years in a hygiene or stewarding role preferred)
  • Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety principles
  • Diploma or certificate in Food Safety, Hotel Management, Public Health, or related field (preferred)
  • Food Safety/HACCP certification (mandatory in many regions)
  • Good knowledge of kitchen operations and cleaning procedures
  • Attention to detail and strong observation skills
  • Ability to follow hygiene checklists and record data accurately
  • Willingness to work in shifts and flexible hours
  • Good communication skills for reporting and training support
  • Familiarity with hotel hygiene policies and local health regulations
