Job summary

Culture Guru in Downtown Dubai is seeking a Founding Lead Data Analyst to own the data analytics function within a fast-growing sweepstakes casino and sports gaming business. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic influence and rapid execution.

You will lead a small team of analysts, develop KPIs, build dashboards and BI tools, and collaborate with Marketing, Finance and Operations to drive data‑driven revenue growth and cost optimizations.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI or similar analytical role.
• Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating analysts or small teams.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Strong statistical analysis and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how data impacts business profitability.
• Experience with Python, forecasting, predictive analytics or A/B testing is highly desirable.
• Experience within sweepstakes, iGaming or sports betting is a nice-to-have.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities and potential business risks.
• Develop and monitor KPIs across revenue, customer behaviour, retention, acquisition, profitability and operational performance.
• Build and improve dashboards, automated reports and business intelligence tools.
• Conduct customer segmentation, cohort analysis, profitability analysis and behavioural analysis.
• Translate findings into clear, practical recommendations to increase revenue, improve customer retention, reduce costs and optimise business processes.
• Lead, organise and coordinate a small team of data analysts, assigning tasks, establishing priorities and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Mentor team members and establish efficient workflows, reporting standards and analytical processes.
• Work closely with Marketing, CRM, Finance, Operations, Customer Support and senior management to implement data-driven improvements.
• Challenge assumptions and business decisions when data suggests better alternatives.
• Develop forecasting models and analyse customer lifetime value, acquisition costs, conversion rates, retention and revenue performance.
• Present key findings, recommendations and performance updates to management.

This opportunity would suit someone who wants to build the analytics function their way with a real seat at the table - taking ownership from initial analysis through to recommendation, implementation and performance measurement, while leading a small team of analysts and remaining hands‑on.
