Athar Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Founding Head of Operations to shape the future of our real estate portfolio. You will partner with the Founder and CEO to structure operations, oversee tenants, maintenance, and performance, and advise on asset strategy and development.

You will lead cross-functional teams, set leasing strategy and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive revenue growth across commercial, residential, and industrial assets.

Competenze

• Minimum 10 years UAE experience in real estate, property management, or adjacent verticals.
• Minimum 5 years in a management or executive position with accountability over a portfolio.
• Experience in growing and transforming a lean founding team into a corporate organization a plus.
• Experience in growing a team via direct creation of departments or divisions a plus.
• Experience in creating new subsidiaries for an organization a plus.
• Experience with VCs and the Start-Up ecosystem in the UAE a plus.

Introduction

We are seeking someone to be part of a founding team, and someone who enjoys the challenge of turning average properties into great assets.

Athar Group is founded by a member of the legacy family office and inherits a currently active revenue generating portfolio of properties. The asset base spans commercial, residential, and industrial assets, and range from newly built to those that require major renovations. These assets are a prime portfolio with an immediate and actionable plan to increase their ROI and inherit value in the short term, which in turn will fuel the future expansion of Athar Group. The short-term goal is immediate asset value creation, while the long term has eyes on expanding a property management portfolio as well as exploring the adjacent verticals in the real estate market.

Founding Head of Operations

As the Head of Operations, you will partner with the Founder and CEO to structure the future of our company. Your role will be to ensure efficient and smooth operations, management, and maintenance of the legacy portfolio. You will direct team members to ensure proactive tenant relations, maintenance requests, and any other needs to maximize portfolio value. You will also be involved in, evaluate, and advise the CEO on potential asset value protection, divestment, acquisition, and potential development.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Professional certification relevant to the industry an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of UAE experience in real estate, property management, or adjacent verticals.
• Minimum of 5 years in a management or executive position with accountability over a portfolio.
• Experience in growing and transforming a lean founding team into a corporate organization a plus.
• Experience in growing a team via the direct creation of departments or divisions a plus.
• Experience in the creation of new subsidiaries for an organization a plus.
• Experience with VCs and the Start-Up ecosystem in the UAE a plus.

Additional Requirements

• Fluency in English a must, Arabic a plus.
• Valid UAE driving license.

Key Performance Indicators

You may be asked to demonstrate knowledge and experience in property management, including involvement in increasing annual revenue and occupancy rates, maintaining operating costs, increasing retention and decreasing delinquency rates, managerial methods of tracking employee performance and targets, amongst other KPIs.
