Role Summary
We are hiring a Fortinet Network Engineer to design, deploy, andsupport network security infrastructure for our clients across the UAE andwider GCC. This is a hands-on delivery role covering Fortinet firewallimplementation, hardening, and ongoing operations, as part of our growingInfrastructure & Cybersecurity practice. You will work closely with theSOC, Cloud, and Cybersecurity Sales teams to deliver secure, reliable networkenvironments and support both project-based deployments and managed security engagements.
Required Qualifications
- 5–6+ years of hands-onexperience in network security engineering, with a strong focus on Fortinettechnologies.
- Proven experience configuringand managing FortiGate firewalls in enterprise or MSP/MSSP environments,including HA, VPNs, and advanced security profiles (IPS, AV, Web Filtering,Application Control).
- Solid understanding of corenetworking concepts: routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
- Fortinet certificationsrequired: NSE 4 (minimum); NSE 5–7 strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting SOC/MSSoperations, including incident response and change management within SLA-drivenenvironments.
- Familiarity with complementarysecurity domains — SIEM integration, IAM/PAM, and cloud network security(AWS/Azure/GCP) — is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skillsand the ability to work independently on complex network security issues.
- Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience, Information Technology, or a related field; additional networkingcertifications (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent) are a plus.
- UAE market/regional experiencepreferred; existing UAE residency/work eligibility preferred.
- Fluent in English; Arabiclanguage skills are an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, deploy, andmaintain Fortinet security infrastructure (FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager,FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP) across client environments.
- Implement and manage firewallpolicies, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), NAT, routing, and high-availability (HA)configurations to industry best practices.
- Perform network securityhardening, firmware upgrades, and patch management across the Fortinet estate.
- Support day-to-day operationsfor Managed Security Services (24x7 SOC/MSS) clients, including incidenttriage, troubleshooting, and change implementation for network securitydevices.
- Conduct network securityassessments and contribute findings to client-facing reports and remediationplans.
- Collaborate with the SOC andOffensive Security teams on incident response, threat containment, andvulnerability remediation involving network infrastructure.
- Support pre-sales andsolutioning by scoping Fortinet-based network security designs and contributingtechnical input to proposals.
- Maintain accurate networksecurity documentation, configuration standards, and runbooks.
- Ensure client environmentsremain aligned with relevant compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PDPL) froma network security perspective.
- Provide L2/L3 support andescalation handling for network security incidents within defined SLAs.
