Responsible for assisting in concept generation, design, development and evaluation of new products, materials and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Assist and perform in all formulation activities for innovation products as required.
Executing sensory testing procedures for assessing new developed products.
Work with the Innovation team to support product and process development and reformulation as needed.
To utilize basic scientific processes and document the formula development process
Collaborate on development and launch process to ensure timelines and expectations are met
Demonstrates working knowledge of fundamental food science; product development and manufacturing experience
Collaborates with Innovation team members to implement and execute appropriate test plans and methodologies for sensory testing and/or consumer research.
Help to research & translate consumer needs into appropriate sensory and consumer tests to answer project objectives and communicate outcomes and potential implications.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, feedback, and results of an operational test
Collaborate cross-functionally with other specialists and engineers in Innovation team to develop new products and technologies.
Understands products technologies, raw materials and the impact of other ingredients of the entire formulations, to the final consumer experience.
Understand flavor construction, relevance of Consumer habits and flavour trend/preferences, product usage context, competitor flavour portfolio, has a developed taste/aroma acuity and can give informed opinions on the application of an optimised flavour.
Creates and maintains formulations, specifications, processes, and testing procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional team to help drive the discovery, development and open ideation process.
Support Innovations team in enabling compliance for new product innovation to comply with local & international regulations and certifications in collaboration with the internal regulatory department.
Proven organization and time management skills, prioritizing multiple, concurrent tests and projects.
Perform other related duties assigned by the line manager.
Skills & Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science/engineering or related science background (e.g. Chemistry) Diploma (Associate Degree) with relevant work experience is also acceptable.
Junior Specialist – No experience is acceptable with relevant educational background.
Associate Specialist - 2 – 5 years of relevant experience within R&D, Innovation or Product Development in FMCG.

Knowledge and background in Technical Consumer Insight
Experience in Research Design, Product Validation Methodologies
