Forklift Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse, ensuring efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to identify any maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance.
• Accurately record inventory movements using handheld devices or warehouse management systems to maintain precise stock levels.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and injuries while handling heavy goods.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on forklifts to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding inventory levels and any operational issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating foundational education for understanding operational procedures.
• Valid forklift operator certification from an accredited program, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, showcasing familiarity with material handling processes.
• Experience with inventory management systems or RF scanners, indicating technical proficiency in tracking goods.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on safety and accuracy.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, to meet operational demands.
