JOB CONTENT
Responsible for operating the forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count finished goods and merchandise. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load, offload, transfer materials safely and move products to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store materials in appropriate areas.
- Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type are loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
- Move products from staging and/or storage areas into trailers efficiently.
- Report the status of transfer/loading periodically to the Line Manager.
- Maintain records related to delivery, material transfer, and equipment usage (log book).
- Check vehicle conditions such as fuel, tire pressure, punctures, fluids, engine temperature lights, etc., before operating the forklift.
- Scan FG pallet labels with the IntelliNum barcode scanner during loading to ensure proper loading onto vehicles.
- Maintain 5S standards and inventory records as per system requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Food Safety, and Environment standards as specified in the global QHSE Management System, adhering to ISO and local regulations.
- Keep all records and documents up to date, accurate, and traceable. Ensure processes, procedures, and activities align with company ISO and management standards.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklifts or other equipment periodically. Operate equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs to the maintenance in-charge.
- Keep equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
- Drive and maintain the vehicle safely, adhering to traffic rules and regulations to avoid fines and accidents.
- Assist team members with daily operations as directed by the Line Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Qualifications
- SSC / High School Education
- Forklift Certification
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of similar experience in a warehouse or production facility.
Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge
- Comprehensive industry knowledge.
