Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services is seeking a Marine Construction Supervisor to oversee daily offshore and coastal construction activities in the UAE. The role involves supervising crews, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring safety and schedule adherence on complex marine projects.

You will manage marine equipment, enforce HSE procedures, read and interpret drawings, and maintain detailed site records while ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient operations.

Qualifications

Diploma or Technical Qualification in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in marine construction projects.
Experience with jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, pontoons, piling, dredging, and coastal protection.

About the Role

Supervise and coordinate daily marine construction activities, including piling, jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, pontoons, dredging, and related marine works.
Lead and manage site crews, subcontractors, operators, and marine workforce to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
Monitor work progress and ensure activities are completed according to project schedules, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, Marine Superintendents, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues.
Ensure proper utilization of marine equipment, barges, boats, cranes, and construction resources.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce compliance with HSE requirements and company safety procedures.
Inspect completed works and report progress, productivity, and site challenges to the project team.
Ensure materials, manpower, and equipment are available to support planned construction activities.
Maintain site records, daily reports, and work permits as required.
Assist in planning marine operations while ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance.

What do we need from you

Diploma or Technical Qualification in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in marine construction projects.
Proven experience in marine works such as jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, pontoons, piling, dredging, and coastal protection projects.
Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, equipment, and safety requirements.
Experience supervising multicultural workforces and subcontractors.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction plans.
Familiarity with UAE construction practices and marine regulations is preferred.
A Valid UAE Driving License is mandidatory
