Job summary

AccorHotels Middle East is seeking a Food & Beverage Service Assistant to support the restaurant team. You will assist in delivering food orders from kitchen to guests promptly, ensure accuracy, and maintain high hygiene standards.

You will work with kitchen and service teams, be flexible for shifts including weekends, and contribute to guest satisfaction by providing attentive service and helping with setup and closing duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure all food orders are accurate, complete, and presented according to hotel standards before serving.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth and timely food delivery.
• Ensure food is served to the correct table and guest according to the order.
• Maintain proper food handling, hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
• Assist waiters and waitresses in setting up tables, clearing used plates, and preparing tables for the next guests.
• Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and with appropriate garnishes and accompaniments.
• Communicate any special guest requests, dietary restrictions, or food allergies to the kitchen and service team.
• Respond politely to guest inquiries and assist with basic requests when required.
• Monitor tables and assist in replenishing water, cutlery, napkins, and other dining essentials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, food pickup areas, and restaurant equipment.
• Assist in preparing the restaurant before service and completing closing duties after service.
• Support the F&B team during busy periods to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
• Develop good knowledge of the restaurant menu, food ingredients, and daily specials.
• Report any guest complaints, food quality concerns, or service delays to the supervisor or manager immediately.
• Follow the hotel's grooming, personal hygiene, and appearance standards at all times.
• Handle plates, trays, glassware, and service equipment carefully to prevent damage or accidents.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain teamwork and deliver an excellent guest experience.
• Be flexible and assist in other F&B outlets or service areas when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
