Responsibilities

You will support CAE's vision of being the global training partner of choice by helping ensure that training devices remain qualified, available, and ready for every training session. In this role, you will perform routine technical maintenance, conduct first-line troubleshooting, and support the upkeep of training devices in accordance with qualification standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Support Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and/or Cabin Crew Training Devices by responding to maintenance requests and performing device setup, conversions, and demonstrations.* Independently complete Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) activities on training devices and associated systems.* Review and sign off work completed by Simulator Support Assistants on complex PMTs and maintenance activities, as applicable.* Maintain accurate, current, and readily accessible maintenance records.* Execute recurrent Qualification Test Guide (QTG) runs and perform first-line troubleshooting using schematics and aircraft or device documentation.* Use the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review maintenance activities.* Support recurring data and content updates, including Navigation Databases, Terrain Databases, OIS and EFB content, training documents, performance data, and IOS lesson plans.* Maintain accurate records of all software, data, and content updates.* Manage inventory levels of consumables and tools and submit replenishment requests as needed.* Support logistics activities, including annual inventory counts, storage organization, packing, and shipping preparation.* Perform housekeeping and administrative activities that support the Technical Services team.* Comply with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards, policies, and safe work procedures. ## Minimum Qualifications * Technical College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Aviation, or a related technical field.* Minimum of 2 years of experience working with flight simulators or related training devices.* Proficiency in spoken and written English.* Working knowledge of computer architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming concepts.* Ability to perform basic software modifications and troubleshooting activities.* Technical knowledge of simulator hardware and software systems.* Understanding of aircraft and training device terminology.* Customer-focused approach with the ability to build effective working relationships.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. ## Preferred Qualifications * Experience troubleshooting multiple simulator systems, including motion, visual, avionics, flight dynamics, and aircraft systems.* Knowledge of commercial aviation training environments and processes.* Experience supporting commercial aircraft simulator platforms.* Familiarity with a variety of aircraft types, including commercial jetliners.* Knowledge of applicable regulatory authorities and standards, including EASA, UAE DGCA, or equivalent regulations related to FSTDs.* Experience supporting simulator qualification activities, including QTG execution and analysis.
