Avionics Technician Job Description

The Avionics Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electronics systems in flight simulators, including the removal and replacement of systems, components, and wiring.

The successful candidate will have experience in repair, testing, inspection, and operational checks of various simulator instruments and systems. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are critical.

Desired Candidate Profile
Job Duties include:
  1. Running wiring and cabling in confined spaces
  2. Removing and replacing components and other related avionics equipment
  3. Performing maintenance and checks as per manufacturer specifications
  4. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and managing shop tools and test equipment responsibly
  5. Completing all paperwork to company standards
  6. Working independently over extended periods
  7. Communicating with manufacturers for system updates
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing flight simulators
  • Avionics diploma or equivalent, with good written and spoken English skills
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals
  • Experience with basic test equipment and soldering skills
