Job summary

Fly Dubai is seeking an experienced Flight Operations Engineer to provide technical leadership across aircraft performance, weight & balance, MEL maintenance, and regulatory compliance. The role involves evaluating performance data, updating documentation, and training staff on MEL procedures and weight balance considerations.

Ideal candidates hold a aerospace/ aeronautical engineering degree with 7–9 years in Flight Operations Engineering, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering (3+ years).
• Fluent in English; other languages a plus.
• Experience in an airline Flight Operations Engineering role required.
• Experience with freighter Weight & Balance preferred.
• Boeing 787 knowledge/experience preferred.
• 7–9 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and actions performance related NOTAMs for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitors and updates airport databases to support performance calculations.
• Designs and validates engine out procedures to optimize take-off and landing performance.
• Maintains MEL and Weight & Balance documentation.
• Provides technical advice on all Flight Operations Engineering aspects.
• Trains staff in aircraft performance weight and balance.
• Ensures procedures are compliant, optimized and updated.
• Supports fleet and route evaluations with regulatory and performance input.
