Job summary

Maximus Air LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Flight Dispatcher to ensure flights are planned and conducted safely and economically in line with GCAA and internal policies.

You will audit duties, monitor NOTAMs, weather, and aircraft performance, and coordinate with crew, maintenance and control teams to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid flight dispatch license.
• Aviation training courses completed.
• Willing to work on shifting or 24h rotating schedule.

Job description

To assist the Senior Flight Dispatcher to ensure all Maximus flights are planned and conducted in a safe and economical manner in accordance with GCAA and Maximus regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct an audit and assist Duties exercised by Asst dispatchers as per their Job description and drive them for Regulatory Compliance and Maximus Policy Compliance.
• Conduct audit and checks on Things to do Daily, weekly, Bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, Annual Basis for Maximus SOP and standard practices and regulatory Compliances.
• Provide flight dispatch and planning services to company management based on company policies and procedures
• Ensuring that all flights are dispatched safely and efficiently in accordance with Regulatory compliance / company regulations
• Ensuring Maximus Aerodrome check list, insurance, Security approvals, Fuel Policy is adhered to ensuring flights are planned economically and efficiently
• Monitoring flights operations by being aware of potential or actual operations problems from a Flight Dispatch perspective (weather issues slots delays, NOTAMs, MEL etc) and ensuring Flight Managers & all other relevant department like (Maintenance, crew control, ground operations, safety, security etc) are aware of the above
• Correspond with different civil aviation departments, handling agents, and fuel companies.
• To assist the senior flight dispatcher in the preparation of the flight briefing documentation.
• To monitor Maximus aircraft while in-flight and maintain a weather safety security watch within the dispatch area of operations.
• Conduct all the co-ordination with loading teams, transportation of crew, RAMP co-ordination with Flight Coordinator required for successful operation of flights.
• Attend to all incoming calls to Operations Control Area, referring those unable to be addressed. Post flight documentation and archiving.
• Special attention to sub-Charter Process and Procedural Compliance
• Execute Special Assignments from OCC Manager from time to time.

• Job role is based in Maximus head office.
• Work within the Operations Control Centre.

• Planning and organizing of flight routes for the scheduled airports.
• Complete Execution of tasks on time.

DECISION MAKING

• Very Important - Co-ordinate and decide on the requirements of crew for dispatch, coordination, catering, transportation and pick-up times.

INTERACTIONS (internal and external)

• Work alongside other Flight Dispatchers.
• Frequent daily interactions with Senior Flight Dispatchers and Supervisor Flight Dispatcher.
• Frequent interactions with crew and Flight Coordinators.
• Infrequent coordination with Ground Coordinators.
• Infrequent liaising with Civil Aviation Departments.

PROBLEM SOLVING

• Develop positive working relationships with the various contacts in order to ensure the ability to get permits.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• Accountable to Senior Flight Dispatcher or own contribution to flight plans.

Experience, Qualifications, Skills and Technical Knowledge

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid flight dispatch license
• Aviation training courses
• Must be open to work on a shifting schedule or 24hrs rotating schedule

Skills

• Planning and organizing skills.

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of at least one reliable flight dispatch system (SITA; JEPPESEN).
• Good knowledge of JEPPESEN flights and manuals.
• Knowledge of the performance of at least one aircraft from the fleet.
• Knowledge of Civil Aviation publications.

Experience

• 4 years in ad-hoc operations or in scheduled flight operations.
• Experience in scheduled or unscheduled flight operations.
• 5-7 years in similar role - Flight Dispatcher
