Job summary

Metal Engineer in Abu Dhabi seeks an assistant to support the Flexo Printing Operator in setup, operation, and maintenance of flexographic presses to ensure high-quality output and productivity.

You will handle plate mounting, inks, substrates, and quality checks, while working to meet deadlines in a team-driven environment. Freshers with relevant training are welcome, with shift-based work and safety compliance a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/ITI or technical qualification required.
• 2–5 years in Flexographic/Label/Packaging printing preferred.
• Freshers with relevant technical training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in machine setup, changes, and production prep.
• Mount plates, anilox rollers, doctor blades, and cylinders as directed.
• Load substrates (labels, paper, film) into the press.
• Prepare and supply inks, solvents, and consumables.
• Monitor print quality, color, registration, and defects.
• Support operator to maintain speed and targets.
• Clean printing units, ink trays, rollers, and components.
• Maintain clean work area and press surroundings.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor issues and report major problems.
• Record production data, wastage, downtime, and material use.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.

Job Summary

Assist the Flexo Printing Operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing machines to ensure high-quality printing, maximum productivity, and minimum wastage while following safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in machine setup, job changeovers, and production preparation.
• Mount printing plates, anilox rollers, doctor blades, and cylinders as instructed.
• Load substrates such as labels, paper, film, and other materials into the machine.
• Prepare and supply inks, solvents, and consumables for production.
• Monitor print quality, color consistency, registration, and defects during production.
• Support the operator in maintaining machine speed and production targets.
• Help perform cleaning of printing units, ink trays, rollers, and machine components.
• Maintain housekeeping around the press and work area.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor machine issues and report major problems to the operator or supervisor.
• Record production data, wastage, downtime, and material consumption.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.

Required Skills
