What You’ll Do?
Fleet Operations & Management
- Oversee the entire fleet lifecycle, from vehicle acquisition to disposal.
- Implement best-in-class industry practices for fleet performance, efficiency, and compliance.
- Monitor SLA & KPI adherence with workshops and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational policies.
- Work closely with internal teams and IT stakeholders to enhance ERP systems for fleet optimization.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost control, vehicle utilization, and downtime reduction.
Performance & Quality Control
- Ensure Work in Progress (WIP) remains below 1.5% of the total fleet.
- Keep quality rejections under 1% of total vehicle throughput.
- Oversee spare parts inventory management and procurement.
- Maintain end-to-end documentation for vehicle onboarding and offboarding.
- Ensure timely maintenance, accident repairs, and insurance claim processing.
- Provide insights and analytical reports on fleet performance and operational trends.
- Lead a team of fleet supervisors and technicians, ensuring performance targets are met.
- Manage external vendors, workshops, dealerships, and insurance partners.
- Handle driver-related escalations and ensure seamless communication across departments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet sustainability and efficiency.
Strategic & Financial Planning
- Contribute to the annual budget planning and expense tracking for fleet operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, process reengineering, and contract management.
- Align fleet strategies with business objectives to enhance profitability and sustainability.
Desired Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a Fleet Manager who brings a strong mix of technical expertise, operational leadership, and process optimization skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
Experience:
- 5+ years in fleet management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role managing mechanical and body repair operations.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of automobile maintenance, body repair, and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and ERP fleet management systems.
- Experience with vendor negotiations, SLA management, and fleet compliance regulations.
