Job description

  • Coordinate daily schedules for drivers and vehicles to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Monitor fleet usage and ensure optimal allocation of resources.
  • Schedule and track routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for all fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle registration, insurance, inspections, and licenses.
  • Utilize GPS and fleet management software to monitor vehicle location and driver behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and other transportation regulations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, addressing issues and resolving problems promptly.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on fleet performance, costs, and usage trends.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures to enhance fleet safety and efficiency.
  • Manage fuel cards and track fuel consumption and expenses.
  • Coordinate new vehicle acquisitions and manage the decommissioning of old vehicles.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 2+ years of experience in fleet coordination, transportation, or logistics.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and transportation regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • May require occasional weekend or after-hours availability depending on operational needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
