Fitness Instructor

As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible to develop training and fitness education programs for our guests and maximizing the experience of our guests and members while using the fitness center.

Some of your responsibilities are:

• Organize and supervise regular gym/fitness-related activities and events to maximize members' enjoyment/use of the fitness studio and to keep ahead with our competition.
• Develop workout programs and health promotion programs according to hotel standards and safe industry practices.
• Develop and maintain professionally safe and effective fitness procedures, programs, and activities in the fitness studio and ensure proper fitness practice at all times.
• Monitor exercising customers and provide fitness assessment and feedback.
• Assist guests in safe exercising and proper body alignment, provide personal training, and prescribe workout programs for guests.
• Co-ordinate the exercise program and fitness studio usage and continually seek ways of introducing new ideas to maximize revenues.
• Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of the fitness studio equipment as per standards and that equipment is always in good working order.
• Welcome all guests to the gym and provide a gym orientation, including basic fitness assessment.
• Be knowledgeable on gym equipment, exercises, and overall health and wellness to be able to guide guests accordingly.
• Understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the hotel's policy on Fire, Hygiene, and Health & Safety.
• Take initiative always to ensure guest safety and satisfaction, being flexible with taking on other responsibilities as and when required by the hotel operation.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Qualification in Fitness is mandatory, with Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructor/Gym.
• Diploma in Health, Fitness, and Exercise Instruction.
• Previous experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel within the Middle East.
• Adequate English language communication skills are required.
