Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and client requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, healthcare, educational and office fit‑out projects.
- Measure quantities from architectural, structural, MEP and interior drawings.
- Prepare quantity take‑offs using appropriate estimating software.
- Develop complete pricing for civil works, carpentry, joinery, ceiling works, flooring, painting, glass, aluminium, metal works, decorative finishes, furniture and MEP coordination.
- Analyze project scope and identify omissions, inconsistencies and commercial risks.
- Prepare tender clarifications and qualifications.
Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate quotations for technical compliance and commercial competitiveness.
- Build and maintain an approved supplier and subcontractor database.
- Negotiate pricing where appropriate.
Cost Planning
- Prepare project budgets and cost plans.
- Develop unit rates for recurring work items.
- Maintain updated material and labour cost databases.
- Recommend value engineering options without compromising quality.
Tender Submission
- Prepare comprehensive tender packages.
- Ensure submissions comply with client requirements and deadlines.
- Prepare commercial comparisons and pricing summaries.
- Coordinate with management before final submission.
Pre‑Construction Support
- Attend site visits and pre‑tender meetings.
- Identify site constraints affecting pricing.
- Assist in preparing project handover documentation for the operations team.
- Participate in kick‑off meetings after project award.
Commercial Support
- Assist in preparing variation pricing.
- Support quantity surveying and commercial teams where required.
- Provide pricing for change orders.
- Assist with cost analysis during project execution.
Division Development
- Develop standard estimating templates.
- Create cost libraries and historical pricing databases.
- Establish tendering procedures and workflows.
- Build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors across the UAE.
- Recommend estimating software and digital tools.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Interior Design or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in interior fit‑out estimation.
- Experience pricing commercial and residential fit‑out projects.
- UAE driving licence preferred.
