Job Title: Fire Life Safety Engineer

Reporting To: Head of MEP Department

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Life Safety Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in design review, code compliance, and risk assessment related to fire and life safety systems across complex buildings and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate Fire & Life Safety designs and ensure compliance with local and international codes (NFPA, IBC, UAE Fire Code, etc.).
  • Conduct fire risk assessments, evacuation modeling, and life safety strategies.
  • Review fire alarm, emergency lighting, smoke control, and suppression systems designs.
  • Provide technical guidance to clients, design consultants, and project teams.
  • Participate in site inspections and audits to verify implementation of fire safety systems.
  • Coordinate with civil defense and relevant authorities for design approvals and inspections.
  • Prepare fire safety reports and Authority Submission documentation.
  • Lead fire and life safety assessments in existing buildings (Condition Assessments, FLS Audits).
  • Support business development with proposal input and client presentations when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering.
  • Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Fire Engineering and Life Safety.
  • Strong knowledge of local codes and international standards (NFPA, IBC, BS, etc.).
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
