Job summary

EFS Facilities Services Group (EFS) is seeking a skilled Fire Fighting Technician to support maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of firefighting systems across UAE client sites. This frontline role requires hands‑on experience with fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hose reels, hydrants and related protections.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire & Safety Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in firefighting system maintenance.
• Experience with fire pump systems and water‑based fire protection systems.
• Knowledge of valves, pipework, pressure gauges, flow switches, pressure switches, pump controllers, and water storage tanks.
• Good reporting, communication, teamwork, and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance of firefighting systems as per approved schedules.
• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire pumps, jockey pumps, diesel engine fire pumps, sprinkler systems, landing valves, hose reels, hydrants, deluge systems, foam systems, wet and dry risers, and suppression systems.
• Attend breakdown calls and rectify system faults within agreed response times.
• Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual inspection and testing activities.
• Complete maintenance reports, update CAFM records, and report system risks or non‑conformities to supervisors.

This is a frontline technical role for candidates with hands‑on experience in fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hose reels, hydrants, and related fire protection systems.

Role Overview

The Fire Fighting Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance of firefighting systems and associated equipment, ensuring systems remain operational, compliant, and ready for emergency use. The role requires practical field experience, basic fault‑finding ability, and safe work execution at site level.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance of firefighting systems as per approved schedules.
• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire pumps, jockey pumps, diesel engine fire pumps, sprinkler systems, landing valves, hose reels, hydrants, deluge systems, foam systems, wet and dry risers, and suppression systems.
