Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Cloud Cost Governance Lead to own end-to-end cloud cost visibility across Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will drive cost governance decisions, monitor daily cost activity, and lead root cause analysis of cost incidents across a multi-cloud environment.

The role requires strong analytical depth, hands-on cloud billing experience, and collaboration with engineering and finance teams. Fully remote with global scope and senior-level responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure environments with strong exposure to FinOps or cloud cost governance.
• At least 5+ years of hands-on Azure cost management at scale in multi-tenant environments and reservation management.
• 3+ years of AWS cost governance using Cost Explorer, CUR, Budgets, anomaly detection, and Savings Plans or RI.
• Strong experience in GCP billing, BigQuery exports, budgeting, and committed-use discount management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end cloud cost visibility across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Monitor daily cost activity and anomalies and implement alerts across tenants, accounts, and workloads.
• Lead root cause analysis of cost incidents with engineering, finance, and cloud providers.
• Ensure alignment between provisioning systems and actual billing data.
• Build and maintain cost data pipelines and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, and BigQuery.
• Identify refunds or credit recovery opportunities with cloud providers.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and optimization initiatives including rightsizing and savings programs.
