Job summary

Ounass in the UAE is seeking a detail-oriented FinOps Assistant to join our Finance Operations team. This entry-level role focuses on processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations while maintaining accurate records and supporting month-end activities.

You will collaborate with Finance and other teams, learn finance systems, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• UAE National status required.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of finance processes like invoicing, payments and reconciliations is beneficial.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the processing of invoices, expense claims and other finance-related transactions accurately and on time.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including checking supporting documentation and following up on queries.
• Help prepare and maintain records for payments, refunds and other financial transactions in line with internal procedures.
• Support bank, supplier and account reconciliations, escalating discrepancies when needed.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date finance records and ensure documents are filed appropriately.
• Assist with month-end activities, including gathering information and preparing schedules and reports.
• Respond to routine finance queries from colleagues and external contacts, directing more complex matters to the appropriate team member.
• Work with internal teams to obtain required approvals and resolve incomplete or inaccurate documentation.
• Follow finance policies, approval processes and applicable controls when handling transactions and records.
• Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of routine finance processes.
• Handle financial and business information with care and maintain confidentiality.
