Job summary

Deena Furniture Factory in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, seeks a skilled finishing carpenter to join our furniture production team. You will perform precise cutting, shaping and finishing of wooden components for sofas, beds and chairs, reading drawings to match specifications and ensuring high-quality alignment and finish across all pieces.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as finishing carpenter, sofa carpenter, furniture carpenter, or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out finishing carpentry work for sofas, beds, chairs and other upholstered furniture.
• Read and understand furniture drawings, dimensions and specifications.
• Perform accurate cutting, shaping, assembling and finishing of wooden components.
• Prepare and assemble sofa and furniture frames according to required designs and specifications.
• Ensure all furniture pieces are properly aligned, assembled and finished to a high standard.
• Carry out modifications and adjustments when required.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper quality, dimensions and finishing.
• Work closely with upholsterers and other production team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company quality and production standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a finishing carpenter, sofa carpenter, furniture carpenter, or similar role.
• Experience in custom furniture and sofa manufacturing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery.
• Ability to understand drawings and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and finishing quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work according to production deadlines.
• UAE furniture factory experience is an advantage.
