Job Description
Our client is a leading B2B lending fintech solution provider poised to disrupt financial services with innovative technology. They are headquartered in Dubai with aspirations to expand across the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.
They are actively seeking a candidate to fill the role of Financial Product Owner with profound expertise in lending product offerings and a strategic mindset to contribute to their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate a financial product strategy in line with the firms end clients lending goals. This includes requirement gathering from the end clients, design and curation of lending/credit product proposals, and the ability to present and articulate these proposals to internal management and the end clients.
- In-depth domain knowledge on how to embed retail and SME lending propositions into platform ecosystems e.g., payments, telco, e-commerce, and leverage the use of data and capabilities available on the platforms to enhance credit offerings and assist clients in deepening their customer engagement.
- Engage with customers across different levels, leveraging expertise in lending/credit risk to suggest product ideas tailored to the clients geography, business, and pain points.
- Be able to support the firms end clients in the implementation and delivery of these bespoke product proposals, including supporting go-to-market, end-customer acquisition, funnel conversion, and general product management. This will involve coordinating between the end clients, third-party providers, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Have a good understanding of lending metrics (performance, risk, user behavior) and be able to monitor and report on these metrics both internally and to the end clients, as well as modify implementations based off of this information.
- Monitor and analyze the lending/credit landscape, competitor products, industry trends, business objectives, and regulatory updates to guide our customers financial product roadmap, ensuring competitiveness and compliance while actively seeking opportunities to integrate emerging technologies.
- Work closely with engineering, design, sales, marketing, legal, compliance, and other teams to ensure a seamless product development process from concept to launch which meets the end clients expectations.
- Manage financial product pricing and product revenue models, ensuring that the lending products meet financial goals while minimizing risk exposure. This includes showcasing the value of the product for potential clients and how the technology translates into cost savings and revenue growth.
- Continuously gather customer feedback, conduct user research, and leverage data analytics to refine products, ensuring they remain relevant and meet evolving customer needs.
- Champion a user-centered design approach, advocating for exceptional customer experiences through intuitive interfaces and streamlined processes.
- Embrace Agile principles to manage the product backlog, create user stories, and prioritize features based on value, complexity, and market impact.
- Create and manage pre-sales collateral and post-implementation collateral such as product documentation, demos, presentations, and case studies to support sales efforts including technical support for proof-of-concepts, solution architecture guides, and white papers to showcase the platforms capabilities.
- Credit risk capability creation of score cards by products or segments
- Ability to use Alt data for merchant lending experience
Key Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven track record in product delivery in a bank or in financial services for unsecured lending.
- Experienced in defining scorecards and running the P&L of lending products.
- Strong analytical skills, translating data into actionable insights and informed product decisions.
- Strategic thinking and ability to anticipate market trends and customer demands.
- Previous experience working in a SaaS-based lending fintech or in commercial lending will be an advantage.
