Job description

Job Purpose

The Commercial Finance team at OSN Group provides financial decision-making support to the organization. The position will support the business in all finance aspects, on a pre-defined scope of work (Revenue, Cost area business partnering, working capital management, cash flow management and ad-hoc business cases).

Key Accountabilities

Planning & Organization

  • Drive the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, working closely with the Director, VP of Finance and CFO and key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts, providing real-time insights into performance against targets, and analyzing variances.
  • Business partner with Senior Management to provide financial and analytical support to the business.
  • Support the business by providing commercial assessments of ad-hoc projects and business proposals as and when required.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic investments, providing recommendations based on ROI and strategic alignment.
  • Support the business teams by analyzing and recommending promotional campaign activity, pricing decisions and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set KPIs, track progress, and drive accountability for financial performance.
  • Partner with Finance team to manage cash flow forecasting and optimize working capital to support rapid growth. Managing monthly reporting process on Working Capital lines and performing variance analysis.
  • Analyze monthly Balance Sheet performance, identify drivers and perform variance analysis.
  • Prepare detailed financial presentations for board meeting and senior leadership to communicate financial performance, trends, and business outlook.
  • Review, scope and financially model complex areas of the business to identify and recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • To pick up and assess existing processes and business streams, understand the cost and revenue drivers in order to provide analysis and recommendations to enhance business decision-making processes.
  • The role requires clear understanding of media / subscription business and its cost structure / nature.

Financial Excellence (budgets, revenue/profit and costs)

  • Strong financial modelling / accounting ability is essential.
  • The candidate must be able to understand the impact of their recommendations on the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow.
  • Working Capital knowledge is key requirement for the position.

Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies

Experience required:

  • Prior FP&A and business partnering experience.
  • Planning, budgeting and financial modelling experience.
  • Proven track record of commercially evaluating competing courses of action and providing considered and balanced recommendations.
  • Able to handle pressure within a changing and fast paced commercial environment.

Education requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably within a digital/streaming media business.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced level on Excel Modelling.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to work across different teams.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to details and the ability to prioritize self and others to deliver to deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Tech savvy
