We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Institution Partnership Director to develop and maintain key partnerships with local financial institutions (FIs) and licensed Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs) in the Middle East. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our B2B trade payment solutions and related services for SMEs by fostering long-term, collaborative relationships and executing strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Partnership Development & Management : Establish and oversee strategic partnerships with local FIs and NBFIs to improve our B2B trade payments and services for SMEs.
  2. Market Analysis & Product Strategy : Understand the local banking and Fintech ecosystems, align market needs with company goals, identify and onboard suitable partners, negotiate terms, and manage partnership execution.
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with Sales, Operations, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure customer-centric product development, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Project Management & Delivery : Lead partnership projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery, including legal agreements, product launches, and post-launch improvements.
  5. Process Optimization : Continuously evaluate and improve payment processes, working with partners to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  6. Compliance & Regulatory Engagement : Maintain communication with regulators, stay updated on regulatory changes, and ensure compliance in trade payments and cross-border transactions.
  7. Performance Monitoring : Track partnership performance, review success metrics, and conduct regular partner meetings to assess progress and identify opportunities.

The Successful Candidate :

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience working with local financial institutions, licensed NBFIs, or in a similar strategic partnership role within payments or Fintech industries.
  • Strong understanding of local financial regulations and compliance, especially related to trade payments and cross-border transactions.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex commercial agreements.
  • Ability to manage partnerships across different countries and cultures effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with a keen eye on compliance and risk mitigation.

Language Skills :

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written); proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
