This role involves leading and managing the financial strategy of a diversified portfolio of businesses and investments, ensuring strong financial governance, risk management, and value creation. The ideal candidate will possess deep investment acumen and experience managing finance within investment-driven entities, including deal structuring, fund management, and return optimization. Beyond financial stewardship, this position will contribute to shaping the long-term investment direction and corporate development of the organization.

• Strategic Financial Leadership : Shape and execute the long-term financial strategy, aligning with shareholder expectations, investment priorities, and market conditions. Provide financial insights and challenge business assumptions to support strategic decisions.
• End-to-End Financial Governance : Ensure robust financial control, compliance, and reporting across all entities. Oversee statutory and management accounts, audit processes, tax compliance, and alignment with IFRS and local corporate tax regulations.
• Capital Planning & Performance Forecasting : Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, financial modeling, and rolling forecasts, embedding scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and ROI benchmarking to optimize financial performance.
• Investment Strategy & Deal Structuring : Direct the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of strategic investments, M&A transactions, and divestitures. Drive return optimization while managing risk exposure across diversified asset classes.
• Portfolio Oversight : Monitor performance across subsidiaries and investment entities, ensuring capital allocation aligns with value creation goals. Review board packs and management accounts for portfolio companies.
• Treasury, Liquidity & Risk : Oversee the treasury function, ensuring efficient cash flow, liquidity management, and funding structures. Implement financial risk controls for FX, interest rates, counterparty exposure, and covenant compliance.
• ERP & Digital Transformation : Champion automation and digitalization across finance through ERP upgrades, business intelligence tools, and process optimization to enhance speed, accuracy, and strategic reporting.
• Board Engagement & Reporting : Serve as the principal financial advisor to the CEO and Board. Present high-quality reporting packs including variance analysis, trend forecasts, valuation insights, and key financial indicators.
• Group Finance Policy & Control Frameworks : Establish a centralized policy environment, standardizing reporting structures, controls, and delegation matrices across business units, while allowing for sectoral flexibility where needed.
• Leadership Development & Team Structuring : Build a high-performance finance team. Drive succession planning, mentoring of finance heads, and recruitment of investment-savvy talent to support future growth.

Education / Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Professional qualification (CPA, CFA, ACA, or equivalent) required
• MBA or Master’s in Finance / Investment Management preferred

Work Experience

• 15+ years in finance and investment leadership roles
