We are a leading oil terminal / shipping trading firm based in Dubai, seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in financial management, with a specific background in the oil and gas industry. This role will be critical in managing the company’s financial health, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing financial performance in alignment with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
2. Manage financial control systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Lead the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing insights for strategic business decisions.
4. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement financial strategies to optimize trading margins and profitability.
5. Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financing arrangements.
6. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and international accounting standards.
7. Develop risk management strategies, including hedging and foreign exchange management.
8. Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
9. Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
10. Provide financial leadership on mergers, acquisitions, or expansions, where applicable.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are preferred.
2. 10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in the oil and gas industry, ideally in oil trading.
3. Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and financial regulations in the UAE.
4. Proven experience with financial modeling, risk management, and compliance.
5. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
