Job summary

Intelligent Solutions HR is recruiting a Financial Controller for a leading UAE insurer. The role oversees finance operations, reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance, ensuring IFRS 17 and CBUAE regulatory adherence.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in insurance finance, strong governance, and a track record of driving efficiency and automation across the finance function in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

8–12 years of relevant finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience in insurance accounting, financial reporting, IFRS, and IFRS 17.
Proven experience with CBUAE regulatory reporting and UAE insurance requirements.
Experience with IFRS 17 implementation and reporting.
Experience managing audits, regulatory reporting, and finance transformation initiatives.
Big Four audit experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with IFRS 17 compliance.
Lead ICFR framework, risk assessment, control testing, and remediation.
Coordinate budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and strategic finance insights.
Manage treasury, cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and banking relationships.
Oversee tax compliance (VAT and corporate tax) and regulatory reporting.
Mentor the finance team and drive continuous process improvements.
