At Amazon we strive to be the most customer-centric company on earth. We are currently looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team in Dubai. The role will be part of the AMET (Africa, Middle East and Turkey) Stores Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will partner closely with finance and business stakeholders, in the MENA region as well as Turkey stakeholders, and with IES FP&A team across other Amazon marketplaces to provide timely analysis and insights. You will work closely with the rest of the team on controllership, reporting and planning activities, and also have a focus on identifying and driving cost reduction opportunities. You will partner closely with the Turkey Finance team for variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews as well as partner with our Tech and Business Intelligence teams to support key business decisions, execute ad-hoc projects, and provide insights as needed.
Key job responsibilities
• Provide timely and insightful reporting of financial results
• Support financial review processes including monthly financial and quarterly business reviews, planning, forecasting, and ad hoc analytics
• Drive continual standardization and streamlining of planning and forecasting processes
• Develop tools to drive better understanding of MENA performance and metric trends
• Work with data source providers to ensure that data is accurate, automated and timely available
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience, working on budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting
Experience working with financial data sets to influence business decisions
Process improvements, automation and analysis experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
Advanced written and oral English communication skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with large-scale data processing and reporting tools (i.e., SQL, Power Query, Power Pivot)
Financial analysis and modeling skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills — including written and verbal communication skills
