Job description

We re recruiting a Financial Analyst to join a well-known ship management and operation company in Dubai UAE.
About Our Client:
Our client is a Dubai-based ship management and operations company providing comprehensive services for commercial vessels. With a focus on safety efficiency and regulatory compliance they handle day-to-day vessel operations maintenance crew management and technical support for a global portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions to facilitate smooth transactions access to credit facilities and other banking services
  • Work closely with banks to negotiate interest rates fees and other charges associated with banking services
  • Manage the logbook for trade records ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
  • Update and maintain records of coupons/dividends received and track upcoming coupons/dividends with dates and amounts
  • Update Tally to account for investments on a live basis ensuring the accuracy of all investment transactions and balances
  • Reconcile Tally with bank statements monthly to confirm accurate execution prices and bank charges and identify and resolve discrepancies if needed
  • Maintain a cash flow sheet to forecast future income from bonds stocks FCNs (Fixed Coupon Notes) etc. supporting liquidity management and financial planning
  • Evaluate the portfolio regularly and provide advice on scenarios to maximize returns and minimize risks
  • Evaluate stocks for FCNs and obtain pricing as required
  • Submit weekly Management Information System (MIS) reports to provide an overview of the overall portfolio of BAB & SAB its asset classes and performance highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Manage and update all personal and local investments including accounting reporting and daily tasks such as renewing Fixed Deposits (FDs) credit card payments due dates etc

Requirements
  • Minimum graduate degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Must have experience across a wide range of investments
  • Solid background in UAE and international laws related to investment plans
  • Effective interpersonal skills to successfully work with local government agencies
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills and IT knowledge of investment portals
  • Ability to plan prioritize and execute strategies techniques methodologies operational policies procedures practices and guidelines to improve activities
  • Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of corporate law and regulatory requirements in MEA countries
