Hashtag is a social-first agency that humanizes brands and drives real business results through content, influencers, and paid social. We’ve worked with some of the region’s biggest names by tapping into culture, trends, and data to make marketing that actually moves the needle.

We’re now looking for an Accountant to join our team and keep our financial operations as sharp and creative as our campaigns.

What You’ll Do:

General Accounting:

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and follow-ups

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments and client accounts.
• Support senior management with regular cash flow and profitability reports.

Client Billing & Retainers:

• Prepare accurate monthly client billing, including retainer breakdowns, deliverables, and extra charges.
• Reconcile billed hours vs. project scope, ensuring revenue is accurately tracked.

Compliance & Auditing:

• Ensure compliance with local tax laws (VAT, Zakat, etc.).
• Support audits and maintain proper documentation of all financial activities.

Financial Tools & Systems:

• Work with the agency’s project management and billing tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
• Help optimize and digitize finance workflows for speed and accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a creative agency or service-based business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA/ACCA certification is a plus.
• Strong grasp of financial principles, VAT compliance, and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Excellent communication skills you’ll be working closely with client servicing and operations teams.
