Job Purpose

The Finance Team Lead will focus on analyzing risks and internal controls related to revenue, credit cards, indirect taxes, master management, and disbursements. The role involves identifying solutions, mitigating risks, ensuring accuracy in financial accounting through GL review and reconciliation, and complying with Group Policies. Responsibilities also include Revenue and Cost reporting, facilitating tax compliance, delivering customer service, and process improvement for efficiency and cost optimization.

In This Role, You Will

• Collaborate with stakeholders to review team activities and recommend process/system improvements to Senior Management, ensuring implementation.
• Establish and maintain SOPs and work instructions, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Work with auditors to resolve queries and observations, providing analytical information for audits.
• Manage, motivate, and develop the team to meet KPIs efficiently and effectively.

Specifically within EK Revenue Services

• Manage forward sales liabilities, ensuring accurate and timely accounting.
• Establish receivables from all sales channels, ensuring they match actual payments.
• Manage pre-paid commissions and discounts, reflecting true financial position.
• Oversee Sales Processing Control to verify and act on agent credit memos, EMD over-utilization, and unreported sales.
• Handle Default agent processing as per IATA regulations and raise Agent Debit Memos as needed.
• Support Finance Manager with analytical and compliance data for decision-making and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for process improvements and risk management.

Qualifications

Must have:

• 5+ years in Airline Finance - Revenue Accounting
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing system changes, UAT, new product/payment initiatives, and compliance audits (GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Strong business partnership skills, experience in industry projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with senior management.
• Advanced analytical and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
