Talents of Endearment in Dubai is seeking a Finance Department Officer to join a dynamic finance team. You will handle budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal auditing to support strategic decision-making in line with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting, 3–5 years of experience in finance within government or large corporate settings, and strong Excel, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Masters or CPA/CFA a plus).
• 3–5 years in a finance role, preferably in government or large corporate settings.
• Experience in a regulated environment emphasizing accountability and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Assist budgeting, consolidation, and annual budget review.
• Develop forecasts and variance analyses to support planning.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee general ledger entries, reconciliations, and cash flow.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits.
• Identify process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and review of the annual budget.
  • Develop financial forecasts and variance analyses to support strategic planning.
• Reporting & Compliance:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, internal policies, and statutory requirements.
• Accounting & Financial Operations:
  • Oversee general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and monitor cash flow operations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support financial audits.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Use advanced software and financial tools to streamline reporting activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Liaise with various departments, senior management, and government bodies to deliver clear and relevant financial information.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives that reinforce the financial department’s objectives.

Requirements

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus).
• Professional Experience:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within a government or large corporate setting.
  • Experience working in a structured, regulatory environment that values accountability and transparency.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
