Description In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations and activities within an organization You will supervise a team of finance and accounting professionals ensuring the accuracy integrity and compliance of financial transactions reports and processes Role Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of finance and accounting staff providing guidance mentorship and support to ensure efficient team performance Allocate and monitor workloads ensuring that financial tasks are completed accurately and on time Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements Lead the budgeting process working with department heads and senior management to create comprehensive annual budgets Supervise and assist in financial forecasting ensuring projections align with business objectives and market conditions Oversee cash flow management ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet operational and financial obligations Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and procedures to prevent errors fraud and mismanagement of funds Supervise the preparation and timely filing of tax returns ensuring that all taxes are paid on time and in compliance with local state and federal tax laws Monitor company expenses to ensure that spending aligns with the approved budget and financial goals Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management and department heads supporting business decisions and strategic planning Oversee the maintenance and use of financial management software ensuring systems are uptodate effective and optimized for performance
