Job summary

Stake Properties in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior Finance & Compliance leader to own day-to-day financial operations across KSA and UAE, including client money controls, payroll, and cashflow management, while building scalable processes.

You will lead the month-end close and IFRS reporting for multiple entities, manage CMA/DFSA regulatory submissions, VAT filings, audits, and partner with tech to automate finance workflows.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years finance and accounting experience across multi-entity MENA businesses.
• Big 4 audit background and/or experience at a regulated financial institution preferred.
• Hands-on experience owning month-end close and multi-entity reporting.
• Working knowledge of CMA and DFSA regulatory reporting requirements.
• Direct experience managing KSA (ZATCA VAT, Zakat, CIT) and UAE (FTA VAT) tax filings.
• Experience managing external audits independently.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; fund accounting and NAV experience is a plus.
• CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA qualification required.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting threads.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finops client money reconciliations invoicing collections payments and bank account management.
• Manage KSA payroll and maintain the accounting policy manual.
• Monitor and manage cashflow across KSA funds and operating entities.
• Drive the monthly close process across KSA UAE & Group opcos and prepare IFRS financial statements.
• Prepare consolidated group management accounts and board reporting.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and substantiations across all entities.
• Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports for CMA and DFSA licensed entities.
• Own VAT filings for KSA ZATCA and UAE FTA Zakat and CIT for KSA entities.
• Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors; close findings on time.
• Document processes and build playbooks; drive automation with tech teams.

What you ll do

Financial Operations KSA

Own day-to-day finops client money reconciliations invoicing collections payments and bank account managementManage KSA payroll and maintain the accounting policy manualMonitor and manage cashflow across KSA funds and operating entities

Month-End Close & Reporting KSA UAE & Group

Drive the monthly close process across all entities - KSA opco UAE opco and Group holdco accurately and on timePrepare monthly quarterly annual financial statements P & L Balance Sheet Cash Flow per IFRS for each entityPrepare consolidated group management accounts and contribute to board reportingMaintain balance sheet reconciliations and substantiations across all entities

Regulatory Reporting CMA & DFSA

Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports for CMA-licensed entity and DFSA-regulated UAE entityManage Client Money accounts in strict compliance with CMA and DFSA rulesMaintain the regulatory calendar and ensure zero missed deadlines across both jurisdictions

Tax Compliance

Own VAT filings for KSA ZATCA and UAE FTA Zakat and CIT for KSA entitiesMaintain a tax compliance calendar coordinate with external advisors on complex matters

Audit

Lead audit preparation across all entities working papers reconciliations and documentationBe the primary liaison for external auditors across KSA UAE and Group auditsTrack and close all audit findings within agreed timelines

Process & Scaling

Document processes and build playbooks to reduce key-person dependencyWork with tech product teams to identify automation opportunities in finance workflows

What we re looking for

• 4 6 years of finance and accounting experience, ideally across multi-entity MENA businesses


• Big 4 audit background and/or experience at a regulated financial institution (asset manager, investment firm, fintech) preferred


• Hands-on experience owning month-end close and multi-entity reporting


• Working knowledge of CMA and DFSA regulatory reporting requirements


• Direct experience managing KSA (ZATCA VAT, Zakat, CIT) and UAE (FTA VAT) tax filings


• Experience managing external audits independently


• Strong IFRS knowledge; fund accounting and NAV experience is a plus


• CA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA qualification required


• High attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and ability to manage multiple reporting threads simultaneously


• Clear, concise communicator who can translate financial complexity for non-finance stakeholders


• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where processes are still being built
