Job summary

Stake in Dubai is seeking a senior Finance Operations professional to lead day-to-day finops, payroll, and cashflow across KSA, UAE, and group entities.

You will drive month-end close, IFRS reporting, regulatory submissions, and audit coordination, building playbooks and automations with tech/product teams. If you have 4–6 years in multi-entity finance, CMA/DFSA knowledge, and a CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA, join our fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in finance and accounting across multi-entity MENA.
• Big 4 audit background or regulated financial institution preferred.
• Experience owning month-end close and multi-entity reporting.
• Working knowledge of CMA and DFSA regulatory reporting.
• Experience with KSA VAT/CIT and UAE VAT filings.
• Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; fund accounting and NAV a plus.
• Professional CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finops: client money reconciliations, invoicing, collections, payments, and bank account management
• Manage KSA payroll and maintain the accounting policy manual
• Monitor and manage cashflow across KSA funds and operating entities
• Drive the monthly close process across all entities - KSA opco, UAE opco, and Group holdco
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) per IFRS
• Prepare consolidated group management accounts and contribute to board reporting
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and substantiations
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports for CMA-licensed and DFSA-regulated entities
• Manage client money accounts per CMA/DFSA rules
• Maintain regulatory calendar with zero missed deadlines
• Own VAT filings for KSA and UAE; coordinate with external advisors
• Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
• Document processes and build playbooks; collaborate on automation with tech/product

What you’ll do:

Financial Operations — KSA

• Own day-to-day finops: client money reconciliations, invoicing, collections, payments, and bank account management

• Manage KSA payroll and maintain the accounting policy manual

• Monitor and manage cashflow across KSA funds and operating entities

Month-End Close & Reporting — KSA, UAE & Group

• Drive the monthly close process across all entities - KSA opco, UAE opco, and Group holdco — accurately and on time

• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) per IFRS for each entity

• Prepare consolidated group management accounts and contribute to board reporting

• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and substantiations across all entities

Regulatory Reporting — CMA & DFSA

• Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports for CMA-licensed entity and DFSA-regulated UAE entity

• Manage Client Money accounts in strict compliance with CMA and DFSA rules

• Maintain the regulatory calendar and ensure zero missed deadlines across both jurisdictions

Tax Compliance

• Own VAT filings for KSA (ZATCA) and UAE (FTA), Zakat and CIT for KSA entities

• Maintain a tax compliance calendar; coordinate with external advisors on complex matters

Audit

• Lead audit preparation across all entities — working papers, reconciliations, and documentation

• Be the primary liaison for external auditors across KSA, UAE, and Group audits

• Track and close all audit findings within agreed timelines

Process & Scaling

• Document processes and build playbooks to reduce key-person dependency

• Work with tech/product teams to identify automation opportunities in finance workflows

What we're looking for:

• 4–6 years of finance and accounting experience, ideally across multi-entity MENA businesses

• Big 4 audit background and/or experience at a regulated financial institution (asset manager, investment firm, fintech) preferred

• Hands-on experience owning month-end close and multi-entity reporting

• Working knowledge of CMA and DFSA regulatory reporting requirements

• Direct experience managing KSA (ZATCA VAT, Zakat, CIT) and UAE (FTA VAT) tax filings

• Experience managing external audits independently

• Strong IFRS knowledge; fund accounting and NAV experience is a plus

• CA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA qualification required

• High attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and ability to manage multiple reporting threads simultaneously

• Clear, concise communicator who can translate financial complexity for non-finance stakeholders

• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where processes are still being built
