We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Finance Officer. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in the United Arab Emirates and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact on our external finance and its growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to clients in delivering overall financial management and regulatory reporting.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the finance and accounting operations of our clients, ensuring responsibilities are organized and carried out efficiently and within agreed timelines.
Core Responsibilities of Finance Officer
- Ensure the company’s capital resources and liquidity are in compliance with regulatory requirements at all times.
- Liaise and report to senior management. Develop strategic direction, goals, and objectives for all reporting sections within the finance function, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic plans.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports such as PIBs and financial statements.
- Coordinate and prepare financial and management reports, business plans, activity reports, financial position and cash forecasts, budgets, and reports required by regulatory authorities, including statutory audits and tax compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Provide accounting and bookkeeping support as needed.
- Assist in authorization projects and prepare financial projections.
Operational and Process Improvement
- Review processes and procedures within the external finance department and suggest improvements.
- Assist with process improvement and strategy implementation.
- Promote a strong risk and compliance culture.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Effective team player with good communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; self-motivated and accurate at speed.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks desirable).
- Proactive attitude and reliable approach to work.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Recognized qualification in Accounting (ACA or ACCA) or similar.
- Experience in regulated financial services, preferably DFSA/FSRA.
- Knowledge of management and statutory accounts production as per IFRS.
